About JAMA Cardiology

JAMA Cardiology is an international peer-reviewed journal and the definitive journal for clinical investigators, clinicians, and trainees in cardiovascular medicine worldwide. JAMA Cardiology is a member of the JAMA Network, a consortium of peer-reviewed, general medical and specialty publications.

Journal Frequency and Access. JAMA Cardiology is published online weekly, every Wednesday, and in 12 print/online issues a year. The journal receives over 2.5 million online visits annually and more than 3.9 million article views and downloads. Without any author fees, all research articles are made free access online 12 months after publication on the website. In addition, the online version is freely available or nearly so to institutions in developing countries through the World Health Organization's HINARI program.

Editorial Information. The journal's acceptance rate is 10%. The median time to first decision is 6 days, and 47 days with review. The journal's Impact Factor is 14.7, ranking high among cardiology journals. All articles are published online first.
